Happy Adoption Story – Gina Chubbolina!

One year ago today I adopted Gina Chubbolina from the shelter and couldn’t be happier! She is funny, floofy and fat. It took some adjustment, but she’s happily in her forever home. She warms my heart and my feet! She loves to play hide and seek under the bed with my dog Rowdy and always wins ~ laughing hysterically from on top of the bed until he notices her, then it starts all over again. She runs around like a maniac, divebombing anything she finds on the floor and pretends it’s the enemy…only to run off and attack it again on her return trip. She is a little ray of sunshine to my day. I can’t imagine not having her in my life. Until my missing Norman comes home or I learn of his fate I can’t add another furball…but would if I could. Here’s hoping you make your 25 cats by the 25th goal! I hope everyone finds their own ‘ray of sunshine’ like I did! The shelter is full of them! All our best! Lezlie and her 6 bundles of furry fun ~ SweetPea, Rowdy, Shadow, Pumpkin, Gina and Norman.

5th Grader Makes Film to Help Shelter

Bailee Dawn Clift has made an impassioned film asking for donations to the Shelter. She is dedicated to helping homeless animals at Stafford Animal Shelter not just out of love for her own two dogs, Chubby and Rusty, but out of love for all pets. She is working on a bake sale to raise funds and has kicked off her campaign with her film “Please Help the Stafford Animal Shelter.” Edited down a bit from its original six minutes, you can watch film highlights here. Stafford Animal Shelter is inspired and honored to have young people like Bailee putting their hearts and energy into helping the Shelter and our many waiting pets. Won’t you make a donation in honor of Bailee today to support her philanthropic campaign and save the life of an abandoned or abused pet in the bargain? Thanks for caring.

Tax Deductible Gifts

Even if you didn’t make a 2011 donation, it’s never too early to earn a tax deduction for 2012. Small monthly or one time payments of any amount make a big difference to the many abandoned animals we care for and all are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Give online, phone 406/222-1311 or mail your check to: 3 Business Park Road, Livingston, MT 59047.  Thanks for making a BIG difference!

Holiday Hours

Gizmo, the 10th Christmas Miracle cat adopted with new his BFFs!

Stafford Animal Shelter’s normal business hours are Tuesday through Saturday noon to 6 pm but we will be closing at 3 pm on Saturdays, December 24th and December 31st. Be part of our Christmas Miracle and adopt a cat (as of 12/22: 14 to go!) or purchase an adoption gift certificate so the lucky family receiving a pet adoption as a gift can come in and pick out their own best friend. Happiest of Holidays to you and yours from all of us!
