Animals At Large

Leash = Safe = Happy!

How do pets with homes end up at Stafford Animal Shelter? Any loose pet is at risk of being in an accident – or causing one – and being a nuisance in the community. For this reason dogs are not allowed off leash except in designated dog park areas in the City of Livingston and fines may be levied for failure to restrain.

Hot Chocolate Fundraiser a Success

Scarlett gives check to Executive Director Vicki Blakeman

Stafford Animal Shelter salutes Scarlett Saile and her friend Samantha Nelson for raising $100 for our homeless pets by selling hot chocolate in the cold wind outside of Albertson’s for two days in December. That’s hard work and we so appreciate their efforts and great generosity. We are very inspired by the passion and creativity of the young philanthropists who support the Shelter. Thanks Scarlett and Samantha!

Farrari Grows Up

Farrari is a crazy puppy. Even though she is now much bigger and still growing all the time, she acts just like a little baby puppy. She is spoiled rotten. Everyone loves her. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her adorable puppy face. When we go visit my parents, she plays with our family’s lab’s Bucket, who is a yellow lab about the same age, and Lily, a black lab about 7. They run and play for hours. She is such a smart dog. She knows tricks like high five, pound, sit, and lay, and when she is tired and ready for bed, she goes to her bed and sleeps. She likes to cuddle up on the couch with me or my roommates. She is quite the talker to, I have a video I will share on facebook of one such occasion we caught on camera. She likes to tell people stories, too bad we don’t understand. She also likes to sing with my roommate and I. She absolutely loves the snow, as the video clip I posted on your facebook wall. She is the best decision I made last year. She is my best friend and makes me smile and laugh every single day! Maybe we will stop by for a visit sometime and say hi!

Exotic Pets Need Support

Jasmine is looking for a home

Did you know we are the only Shelter in the region (Billings and Missoula have Rabbits but they are the closest ones who open their doors to pets other than dogs and cats) who will take in small and exotic pets? We have a large number of rabbits, ginnea pigs, birds, several snakes and a chameleon looking for homes and support donations right now. See the KBZK TV news story here!

We will meet or beat any pet adoption fee promotion!

There are still 60 (!!) cats waiting for homes so their adoption price discount will be continued. Did you know that Stafford Animal Shelter will meet the adoption fee discount or promotion of ANY area shelter? Don’t Delay – Adopt a Feline Today! http://staffordanimalshelter.org/available-pets/
