At Stafford Animal Shelter, we’re into S & N (Spay and Neuter). Most people know that spaying and neutering pets prevents unwanted pregnancies, but what many don’t know is that it also prevents a number of serious medical problems in pets as well. Stafford Animal Shelter – the first shelter in the State of Montana to have an in-house Spay/Neuter Suite – alters all dogs and cats prior to adoption to reduce the number of unwanted pets brought into the Shelter, but continues to see a much wider range of benefits from these simple surgeries.

Stafford Animal Shelter is pleased to work with local schools and youth groups to promote humane animal care and awareness.  Young people are often our best, and certainly future, amabasadors and philanthropists. To celebrate our ”Furry Valentine” event where all adult cat adoption fees are $14 thoughout February, students at Arrowhead and Pine Creek Schools have selected favorite ‘Furry Feline Valentines’ to honor with hand made cards extolling their virtues as the purrfect valentine.
