Older, But Absolutely better!

Kyra (now shortened to Kai) has been home with us now for a week. Her delightful personality, her quirky habits (actively watching tv and ‘scaring off’ the wildlife!), her ‘talkativeness’, her maturity and easy-going attitude… we’re so glad she has joined us at age 12 to live out her days in pampered comfort. She follows me everywhere, loves to ride in the car, loves to wander in the yard, and has moved right in with our other three dogs as another family member . Again, please consider the older dog when adopting… easy to love and so willing to love back. We’re hoping Kai will be with us for many years to come but giving (and getting!) love, comfort, companionship and security to such a spunky old gal is so worthwhile ! She’s a 12 year old pistol, and we’re so glad to have her! Thanks to those of you at the shelter who care for these sadly unwanted beings until their ‘next family’ can discover them and take them home!

Punk for Pooches

Thanks to the 35+ people who supported Punk for Pooches on Friday July 13 at the Mint at the benefit for our homeless pets. It raised over $278! Big Thanks to Merlin Moss of  the Mint and Jordan Wright of the Band Redemption Rising for putting it together (and both donating generously as well). Thanks also to Jennifer Hustad Murray for generously donating $75 to pay the Sound Engineer so that ALL the money taken at the door went to our pooches! Thanks to Jordan who organized the event and paid the bands, the bands for playing for mere gas money and everyone who donated at the door to enjoy the music.
