Buy Local to Make a Big (hairy) Impact!

During July, Truex Furniture & Appliance will donate 10% of all sales $499 and over to Stafford Animal Shelter. This could add up to hundreds of much needed dollars for homeless animals. But that’s not why you should make that purchase at Truex in July. The benefits are bigger than that.

Buying local keeps your dollars circulating in the community. When you make a purchase at a chain 80 cents of every dollar leaves the community immediately. Local purchases improve our community’s struggling economy by sustaining jobs, making it possible for those employees to spend their wages in town, creating a tax base that supports local infrastructure and services, and a larger percentage of local purchases go to local charities that serve the community.

OVERSTOCK SALE

Stafford Animal Shelter’s suppliers (people who couldn’t keep or didn’t want their dog anymore) have delivered more dogs than we have space for so we are having a HUGE SALE! All adult dogs – regardless of the style, design, pattern, or utility – are HALF PRICE until the supplies are reduced. Sure, they are seconds and some have slight defects but all are perfectly functional canine companions. The overcrowded conditions aren’t good for anyone so come pick out a waiting dog: you can be a hero for half price!
