One year ago I adopted Oliver (originally known as Copper). I wasn’t looking for a dog at the time, but my mom sent me his picture on Facebook and immediately I knew we needed each other.. even though I was 1,000 miles away.
Oliver now lives in California (but visits Montana often). My little shadow comes to my office every day, dines out with us and has traveled all over the country. He racked up 15 flights in 2014. Passengers are often surprised there’s a dog on the flight when we land and ask me if I give him Benadryl to calm him. I always say the same thing. No, he doesn’t need it. I’m his Benadryl. He bonded to me immediately (and always watches my every move – no matter who else is in the room).
Oliver has added so much joy, not just to our lives, but to our extended family’s lives and everyone else that he meets along the way. Strangers giggle and smile when he walks by on the street. Someone recently offered me $4,000 cash in front of my bank for him.. I said No, he’s priceless! And he is. Eugenio and I call him our little angel boy.
Thank you, Stafford Animal Shelter, for taking him in and providing him with the surgery that he needed. He’s happy and healthy. Today is his fourth birthday and we’ll be celebrating with ribeye. (His sensitive little tummy also loves his daily baby carrots.) After his first Christmas, he definitely doesn’t need anything else, so I just made a donation in his honor on your website. I hope you all know how loved he is in his forever home. We are so grateful that his time with you led him to us.
Here are just a few of our instagram pics of our travels to share with your staff. Thanks again.
